Project Manager
Cloncurry Shire Council is seeking a Project Manager to join the team. This role is based in the heart of Northwest Queensland. What we offer:
- Full Time- Level 5 OAP -$119,000–$135,000 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience) + Superannuation
- 5 weeks Annual Leave (with 17.5% Leave Loading)
- Monthly RDO (13 per year)

What You’ll Do:
- Managing multiple projects from concept through to completion
- Coordinating contractors, consultants, and internal teams
- Monitoring project performance and providing progress reports
- Ensuring compliance with WHS, environmental, and procurement regulations
- Engaging with stakeholders and the wider community
- Addressing contract delays, variations, and quality control
- Identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvement
What You Bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience in managing infrastructure or civil works projects
- A solid understanding of local government operations and compliance requirements
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office
- Current Class C Queensland Driver’s Licence and Construction White Card
Desirable:
- Experience working in remote or regional communities
- Awareness of environmental and cultural heritage factors in project work
- AIPM, PMBOK, or PRINCE2 certification
